The room after water
A rest lounge is where the body cools and the mind slows. In Alpine apartments we often borrow a corner of the master bedroom, a wide hallway landing, or a niche outside the wet area. The concept defines sight lines — no mirror facing the bed, no bright sconce at eye level when reclining.
Seating depth and textile layers
We specify a lounge chair or built-in bench 52 cm seat depth minimum, topped with washable wool or linen in muted valley greys and moss greens. A folded throw and one firm cushion appear in the material schedule — tactile, not decorative clutter.
Low light and reading
Two light layers suffice: a floor lamp with dim warm LED for evening, and a narrow shelf lamp if you read while cooling down. We note switch positions reachable from the chair without crossing a damp floor — coordination with your electrician.
Air and temperature balance
After steam or sauna, lounges need gentle air movement. Concepts mark optional ceiling fan locations or operable window positions toward the Inn valley breeze — design intent for natural cooling, not HVAC operation manuals.
