Entry and threshold
In Innsbruck apartments, wet areas often sit beside bedrooms separated by a single door. We design a visual and acoustic threshold: a slight floor level change marked by local quartzite or lime-cement tile, a towel niche visible from the hallway, and a door swing that never exposes the shower directly to the corridor.
Shower volume and bench
Alpine flats rarely allow sprawling wet rooms. We dimension the shower for standing comfort and seated rest — a built-in bench 45 cm deep, sloped 2° toward the drain, finished in the same stone as the floor to avoid visual breaks. Steam-ready concepts include a ceiling slope note and a vent path to the existing façade grille.
Drainage and substrate
Our documentation specifies linear drain placement along the bench foot or centred for square showers. We coordinate fall ratios with your plumber and note waterproofing layers compatible with Austrian ÖNORM practice — design guidance only, executed by licensed trades.
Finish palette
Tyrolean grey limestone, warm white lime plaster on dry zones, and brushed brass fittings appear repeatedly in our Innsbruck concepts. We describe textures and joint widths in text so your tiler receives clear intent without relying on proprietary sample boards from abroad.
